History
Stretchline UK Ltd. was formed in July 2001. It was a merger between two well-established family companies.
Charnwood elastics Ltd and Tubbs (Elastics) Ltd.
Charnwood Elastics was founded in 1975 by Doug Nicholson followed by Elastic trims founded by Norman Collier and Nicholson Textiles.
Tubbs Elastics followed on from Tubbs Lewis with roots extending back to 1840.
Norman Collier is our present Managing Director.
Both Companies brought to the merger a vast knowledge of knitting and weaving with a long history connecting them to the textile industry.
